Black’s the nemesis of white, with no tolerance for grey. And yet shackled to shadows, it’s submissive during day. It darkens eternity, within the absence of light. For its pigment absorbs all, shrouding everything in sight. A featureless ebony, it outstretches time and space. And multitudes of color, are encased in its embrace. It pools within silhouettes, blotting out reality. And morphs into a seamless, semblance of finality.
