Big Brother

big brother big brother where is our mother
we're hungry and want something to eat
big brother big brother where is our father
who will help us to get what we need
big brother big brother our last chance for hope
can we take you by the hand
big brother big brother can you understand
what it means to be a man
big brother big brother you put us down to walk
and you're just running away
big brother big brother you gave up your mother
while she was begging you to stay
big brother big brother you gave up your father
who gave you all that he could
big brother big brother we were a family
and we thought you understood
big brother big brother you're chasing a dream
that you will never catch
big brother big brother you're waging a fight
with an opponent you can not match
big brother big brother what happened to the love
you had for your fellow man
big brother big brother try to change sides
if you can

The big brothers fail to help the families out there who lose their homes, who have no medical care who have no food to eat. Big brother is not watching out for little brother. Good point made John. love phyl

Hey John, Great minds think alike! I wrote one on our government with the same title. Are they a necessary evil? They seem to be human till they get into office then avarice takes over. I enjoyed the clever way you bring it all out.

my goodness, John, this is so sad. I know people who have raised their siblings, without complaint, and done a very good job of it. Not all of life is bad. Merry Christmas, John! hugs, Catie :)
