Beyond Midnight

The moonlight cast pure magic Among summer's greenery Floral scents filled the warm humid air Soft petals caressed the evening breeze Crystalline dew drops gathered on the grass Shimmering like millions of diamonds Silver threads wove through the shadowed canopy Stars twinkled upon the heavens The aurora's danced in sweet refrain To the melody of earth's orb Morning would soon salute a new day. 02/07/13

I love the lanquid, openness you've composed with this poem. I know I could feel the dew on the grass, were I to pause in the moonlight and run my hand over it. Softly realistic and visually striking descriptive phrasing, all leading to a very pleasing finale. Very well done, Phyl...Your friend and fan...Gene
