It is amazing, being nuts
A treasury for wordsmiths
It takes a little bit of guts
A number of 'what ifs' and 'buts'
So much for me to play with!
It's not embarrassing or sad
It's just my life, come join me!
I grin at you if you're a tad
Surprised at all my glee, know that
It's fine, and I forgive thee
Too much tiptoeing isn't good
Just tell me I'm a nutter
No silken gloves, don't try to soothe
Believe me, being nuts is food
For poetry from the gutter
I smile at you, a crooked smile
Cuz I nod, it's a challenge
To be just me, try for a while
Be crazy, be a nut with style
Be just a bit unbalanced
There's too much greyness all around
The world needs paint with colour
A little noise, no solid ground
Some sane insanity is sound
So throw away that collar
