Being Human
Brought milk and bread for the hungry
Entered a home with an empty fridge
Inside there were infants crying, mothers
Nursed them with the last drops of milk
Giving little increased anger in them
Humans in streets asked for pity
Untouched many looked away
More despair I encountered
All food and water had ran out
None I could do for anyone
