Beauty's Air
Inspired by artwork by a artist I can't mention just yet. But the artwork is a picture of a beautiful England Forrest at night.
A slow stroll in
the Forrest,
I’m held captive
of my own free will, bound
standing still
in awe
the soles of my feet
tasting the earth beneath it
listening to an orchestra
of twigs snapping,
rocks disheveled
from dirt beds.
Motionless, I breathe
beauty’s air
so graciously she shares
her home, welcomes
this grateful passerby.
