Beauty Contained

Beauty contained radiates quietly Elegant like Wisteria neatly pruned On a trelllis with blooms weeping lightly Grace and beauty sending a merry tune Beauty running wild up and down the streets Is like Wisteria running through tall pine trees Pretty for a very short time one of spring's facets Someday will die from lack of root strength disease Tulips with their rainbow of spring colors Sit still in place letting their beauty glow Contained bless landscapes with multicolor Not running here_there still put on a show

Some flowers do "run wild" like wisteria and jasmine on vines and they're always a delight to behold. But tulips are more delicate and few flowers can match their beauty. What a wonderful poem, Sara. This can be read on more than one level if you think of people as the "running wild" or "sitting in place" types. Love that last line! Great work. Best wishes, Carolyn

The devil is liar from the pit of hell, he thought he could silence the beautiful songs you are singing.
