Silence is so beautiful Also such a ravaging beast She keeps you hanging on with anticipation Waiting for just one single word to form Driving you to complete madness Wondering what are in the other persons thoughts She sits in contemplation Whether to let a word fall out of your mouth Or to leave your enemy's mind in doubt A double edged sword That can be kind or cut you to the quick She gives you power for yourself Power from within See people expect reaction When they intend to deceive or hurt But no statement is as powerful As no reaction at all It says to them you are in control You refuse to keep on battling You've found your inner peace And in the end the words they have spoken Will be the words on which they choke
