Beautiful Lie
Beauty always seen by the beholder
That’s what I have read and always believed
When someone is sad and needs a shoulder
Don’t knock them back with words you can’t retrieve
They may be plain of face, but pure within
Eyes might not sit right or nose all askew
Being ugly would you say was a sin
Have you ever thought what they think of you
So before you say that beautiful lie
Put a smile on your face to make it true
Look into their eyes and say with a sigh
You are so beautiful and I love you
Remember beauty fades when of the skin
Real beauty is always shining within
