Bargains

The bargain was different every time. My indifference was seen as an enemy. Thunder struck from the south, And my mouth worked inward. (The target of so many things.) Everything falls like ice. Let’s burst and disperse That’s all we ever wanted, anyway.

What are you talking about? The poem is so "deep and dark," I have no idea what it is trying to say.
