Bad People

Bad People Good things happen to good people Bad things happen to good people too Bad people, early or late become exposed Good people can take a bath and shower Rid themselves of filth Bad people will shower and bathe And go to the grave still dirty Evil is the prevailing force on Earth It has been around forever That is why good people are hard to find They are like diamonds hidden in the dirt

Hi Sara, Thank you so much. This poem is not a contest item. I simply wanted to write something simple and direct. I'm glad you found some merit in it. I just wrote and posted "Mary", a Christmas poem. I might enter that in a contest if the opportunity presents itself. Have a great week end. Earl

what a great example of didactic poetry. I hope I can complete this challenge myself.

Hi Andrea, Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked it. This is not for any contest. I just wrote it because that is what I do. I like to keep things simple when I can. Have a great week end. Have fun! Earl

wow earl this is very deep but sadly in some cases oh so true - also applies to selfish thoughtless people and the issues they cause - love the final stanza! Its a 7 from me! Hugs jan xxx

Hi Jan, Thank you so much. I wish you only diamonds in your life. Take it easy. Take care. Earl.
