Ava's Smile

In your smile, I see: skinned knees laughing eyes butterflies caught sad good byes wishes blown to azure skies all bottled up in your grandmother's eyes stories told tear drops caught kisses given never bought dreams kept in your sleep wrapping them 'round me as I weep a wish for winter a love for snow a mind full of wonder and wanting to know future forgiveness and hearts trimmed in gold all in your smile at 3 years old.
