Author’s Notes: “Autumn’s Kiss” is a Free Verse write that my wife, Ingrid, and I recently collaborated on. We both actually just finished this uplifting write today on the season of Autumn and certain aspects of it that make it such a wondrous and marvelous period of time as part of the classic “four seasons.” We wanted to get this one posted soonest since Winter is coming and is just around the corner. Enjoy!! (Gary Bateman – October 22, 2016) (Free Verse)

Categories: autumn, beautiful, god, imagination, nature, seasons, and symbolism.

Autumn’s Kiss The colors of autumn abound for all to see, while the layers of fog spread gently over the fields, and the fine wet teardrops weigh heavily on a spider's web, making the spider's web dance with great joy. Autumn comes around the corner by God’s eternal plan, as Mother Nature brings her wondrous bundle of bright colors, and as the Sun’s warm rays touch the leaves ever so gently, making everything most radiant and brilliant. The Sun’s warm rays begin to dissolve the layers of fog, covering the fields for miles on end which are now spreading out before the open eyes for all to see. The last days of summer are now kissing gently and softly the cheeks of the arriving autumn with a great expectation. Enjoy this treasured time in between, for every moment is such a precious God-given gift; this must be done before the winter arrives, with its long-dark nights and its cold-frozen days. All of these marvelous seasonal aspects of Mother Nature, Reflect a divine certitude and the ultimate power of Almighty God’s cosmic plan and His omnipotent touch! Hello Dear Alexis!! Thanks so much for your very kind words here and for the "7"!! As I mentioned in my reply (below) to Anne-Lise, my wife (Ingrid) was actually the principal theme-driver behind this poem. In the end, we were both able to find the right words to make "Autumn's Kiss" a final reality. We're both very pleased that you liked this particular poem on Autumn. Continued Best Wishes . . . Gary
