Autumn's Breath
Breathing in autumns air is refreshing to my soul
I'm in awe of beauty surrounding me, as I leisurely stroll
Colourful leaves dancing, doing their best to cajole
Throwing caution to the wind, down the hill I roll
Now leaves are sticking to my clothes and in my hair
Actions of a child, but priceless is the smile I now wear
Foliage of orange, red, yellow, green and brown everywhere
Trees rustling their pleasure, joyfully rejoicing at my flair
The wind picks up, whistling natures sweet tune
A slight chill is in the air for it's now late afternoon
The sun strives to shine brightly, glistening off the lagoon
Days are getting shorter and earlier rises the moon
An exquisite valley beckons, an enclosed paradise retreat
Sitting against an ancient oak, resting my weary feet
A beautiful sight to behold, not an inch marred by concrete
Now special place to come, when one wants to feel complete.
