At First Glance
Enter beauty, for sunlight to enhance
To share this marble fountain, where I sit
With length of hair, its simple elegance
And flowing dress with a casual split
As I see a smile and eyes slowly lift
To find time has stopped while the world grew small
With restless energy, hands subtle shift
A smile returned with quiet answered call
To glean this moment without care or thought
And hold it close as a gift now treasured
In this place of rest neither bought or sought
Distance between our eyes can't be measured
Perhaps enchantment or perhaps romance
Woven in time from a fleeting first glance
