As I walk these silent streets

As I walk these silent streets

This morn is filled with mystery
As I walk the silent streets
Shadows filled with gentleness
They make each step so sweet
Some folk are frightened in the dark
But me, I feel at home
As I walk these trails with feather feet
And in this darkness roam.

The magpies warble tenderly
They seem to get up early
The C moon shrouded by the mist
Is a wondrous site to see
This morning mist I find so sweet
It has a quality
That seems to give a mystic feel
To the very core of me

Oh yes, there’s something about the morn
That thrills me to the core
The silence penetrates my soul
And I am more than sure
That magic folk live in the darkness
Who come from a wondrous place
And hide within these mystic realms
All filled with warmth, and grace.

You understand nature so well - walking trails on feather feet, the mystique of the morning mist, and the silence in your soul - lovely!!!

Thank you Bindu, I am just a simple man who loves nature, and mystery, and I try in my own clumsy way to put my feelings down in words. I really do appreciate your kind words. And ooh I forgot I am very self opiniated lol....Peter

i don't know what a magpie sounds like, but i'm sure i can hear a few of them as i join you on this early morning walk. i especially love the "c moon shrouded by the mist" - very poetic, indeed!
