Art Disenchantment

I'd swear it was as if I've seen an authentic Picasso By the way I can't turn my eyes away From yours that is. I love it. I think, that wordplay will come a long way, I keep falling for those things. We look, To find out those hidden meanings. How your lines seem to mean business But are betrayed by those curves in the sides. I dreamed you a playful girl, an expressionist, But aren't you the epitome of entropy, You're such a lovely mess of things. Rendered but abstracted - definitely objectified - There's no way you'll be still in that spill canvas For long, as far as I'm here looking at you, I know you want to get out. You want me To draw meaning from the ether and that's why Your eyes never shift from my selfsame stare, You'd think it's that easy, but we're not going anywhere. Don't think myself a fool from Love Delusion, It's never what we take things to be. I know how we function through evolution. Poison kisses or sweet hisses from a snake, Reality is defining what we see, You're able to adapt your color and shape, But we know that beyond your mystery... I'm not reading you That I can only see myself through you, And all we could really say is that I want you. The rest is but ether in this own painting I'm in. I'm captivated, and neither of us is free. (Even if I try to close these eyes or look far away... there's no escaping the truth you've seen in me.)
