Apologia - Swap Quatrains

To me, verbal Apology is only inflated pride The good people don’t call for apologies to deride Bad people for base vantage may go on their knees Verbal apology is only inflated pride, to me. Torment none, repent for past and dread for future If you think you've erred, make the amends sooner It is easier to eat crow while it is still warm anon* Repent for past and dread for future, torment none. While travelling over the world, a sad truth I’ve found Those people we’re fond of, their feelings we wound we flatter those of whom we have hardly heard A sad truth I’ve found, while travelling over the world.

Congratulations for your win, Dr. Ram. I especially loved the last stanza. What you were saying can be true to an extent and it is quite sad.

For me I don't think of them as bad people, I feel they are in the process of learning. An apology in any form can be the beginning of understanding. The accepting of an apology can be the arbatour of peace. It means we choose harmony over our own demand for justice. Congratulations and thanks for inspiring thought.

Many times those people We love are the people We hurt most.I guess one of the reasons is that We can be ourselves with them..knowing they love us back as much as We do,yet it shouldnt be like this.Sometimes We show gratefulness and appreciation to those We care for when its too late..So this poem is a clever post ,full of wisdom and lots to learn.Excellent !
