Anyone's Guess
Once I relished life,
but now, I bear it.
For it's ground me down
and crushed my spirit.
Global warming’s real,
so are crimson tides.
But their world impact,
our government hides.
The world deals in blood,
it's bartered like trade.
And call me crazy,
but I feel afraid.
My friends have dwindled,
I'm down to a few.
And I realize
what time has put me through.
Death approaches fast
when life has an end.
And I pray my soul
will someday ascend.
What truth awaits me
is anyone's guess.
I hope it's heaven,
but expect far less.
