Another Heartache
Misery, Loneliness, and Despair, draw near;
Rainy weather friends, whose motives are clear.
Friends that are happy, when life's gone askew.
When a heart lies battered, and broken in two.
Then without notice, they kick open the door;
Misery struts in, throwing his stuff on the floor.
“I see Love's been here,” he bellows, with a grin,
“But today she's left you, and I'm moving in!”
A battered Heart cries; “It's your lucky day!
Love filled every room, just yesterday.
When she checked-out, and said we're through,
She left plenty of room, for all of you!”
“Though we'd all prefer, not to have Hate!
“He's too violent, nasty, and irate.”
“I think he can visit, out by the pool.
But I'll check with our manager: A. Fool!”
Misery checks in, with his partner, Despair
Numbness and Emptiness, just sit and stare
Sadness and Loneliness, left a “Do Not Wake”
All reunited again, my heart welcomes home:
ANOTHER HEARTACHE
