Another Day Without You

Another day without you as We carry each others’ burdens Soft snow flakes twirling falling The old north wind blowing Creating a fine mist pressing Against my window pane Another long day without you I stand with my coffee in hand Lost in an elaborate daydream I count the number of days The hours minutes the second When these eyes will you behold Another day without you Your words like snow flakes float Through my mind so totally focused Within the mist I see your face Your self-assured quirky smile- The door bell rings my dream erased!

How stunningly beautiful! Feeling your words rang true to my heart. What I felt was someone who has passed before he or she was ready to leave his family. As a widow even after 17 years I still feel him around. Again such beautiful words.

But then again, absence makes the heart grow fonder. I know exactly the feeling, God how I know it. Been there, done that. Been working overseas for 27 years now and I get to see my family and loved ones only once a year! That's right, just once a year for about a month, so your situation compared to mine is not really that bad, not at all. But you know what? We just take what life gives us and adapt. Hey, smile, life sucks but it's still good and if I can smile, so can you! Happy XMAS

In this entrancing piece, I felt perhaps loneliness and loss, but also great beauty in that love. Which is magical. A treasure to hold. I do. And I want to thank you so much for your comment on my poem, Snowflakes(like kisses)we have been on a similiar journey, you and me
