An Untitled Entity

The climax of the yester years went up in smoke today, I’m bidding it a fair adieu, in hopes it does not stay. The chimney with its blackened stone toots out its wheezing puffs, And frees the ghosts the Sun can see amongst his setting dusk. If I sighed would they disperse in my caress? I linger in the distant hills adorned in widowed gloom, In hopes the veil will burn upon the last few grains of light. With a wail, the moment fades, the fire flicks farewell, But the Moon, she waits, in eagerness to cast away the doom, And all is reborn in glowing white.
