An Inaudible Encounter
I was minding my own business
When I overheard a conversation
That failed to have words.
Sounds absurd…but it’s true.
I didn’t know what to do
But understood what was said
At the same time music
And the mute conversation entering my head,
But the inaudible sounds
And the hands moving up and down
Got me so caught up in the mute dialogue
That I forgot others were around.
So as I come to,
And I reach the train station
I realize that
I live in a gifted nation.
So I got off of the train
And those two were the only ones left
Now that was an amazing encounter
With two people that were deaf.
