Amaranthine

Our love was saved by candle light, a flicker of that never ending flame. We kissed heaven like a bird in flight, even in our sleep we dream the same. A balcony scene is where you belong, like Juliet beneath the lucent moon. And I, your Romeo, to sing your song, and warm your heart with my tune. I feel your hand upon my shoulder, locks of your hair that trickle down. The years go by and we grow older, your eyes retain that youthful brown. And as our wrinkles start to appear, we will count them as they come. As your kisses I still want my dear, until my lips and yours are numb. So leave eternity for another day, and come stay here by my side. I will caress you sweetly that I may, separate the Jekyll from the Hyde.
