Am I Supposed To Help?

I hear about your troubles. You tell me everyday. You say you're going under. I'm not sure what to say. I'd like to help you out of this. I'd offer you my hand. I just feel like I'm adding to your weight while in quicksand. You're old enough to realize you have to really work. You have to learn the hard way. I sound like such a jerk. Why do you keep getting here? When will you ever learn? You have to stay on top of things and then get what you earn. It's hard, oh yeah, I know it. Believe me when I say 'I struggle to keep life on track each and every day.' I know that you can do it. You've gotten through much worse. I just don't think it helps you when I reach into my purse. You'll end up so much stronger. I promise this is true. I'm here if you should need me. I just don't know what to do.
