Alien Lovers

I prize your heart like an incandescent star out of the sky To keep myself from feeling lonesome at night. In my dreams, the crescent moon of your back cradles me to sleep And your astral eyes drift me off into the green pea galaxy. I'm infinite with you in celestial spaces, in the voids above We are nothing less than pressureless intercosmic dust. My eyes met yours And outer space became my home My soul consigned its past into oblivion Before my body even knew what it felt like to forget. I would welcome death lustfully If you, my luminous star, I did ever have to abandon Because life is asleep And love is an unwakeable dream.
