Aisle Or Window
Aisle or Window?
By Elton Camp
Jake was to take his first plane ride
So where to sit was easy to decide
“The window’s where I’d rather be
For such great sights I then can see”
He enjoyed the patchwork down below
And over major cities so quickly to go
Across a wide lake in just a flash
Over high mountains to take a dash
But poor Jake instantly came to rue
The thing that next came into his view
The horrible scene gave him a fright
Another plane loomed on the right
But for only a few seconds did he dread
And then he and all aboard were dead
Such a midair collision is quite rare
A fact about which Jake couldn’t care
Readers usually expect humor from me
But look what this one turned out to be
