Aisle Or Window

Aisle or Window? By Elton Camp Jake was to take his first plane ride So where to sit was easy to decide “The window’s where I’d rather be For such great sights I then can see” He enjoyed the patchwork down below And over major cities so quickly to go Across a wide lake in just a flash Over high mountains to take a dash But poor Jake instantly came to rue The thing that next came into his view The horrible scene gave him a fright Another plane loomed on the right But for only a few seconds did he dread And then he and all aboard were dead Such a midair collision is quite rare A fact about which Jake couldn’t care Readers usually expect humor from me But look what this one turned out to be
