After the Storm

Rain hit the rooftops I can see it through my window It looks like thousands of teardrops Sliding through the glass I know this storm will pass And the sun will shine again Bringing with it rainbows And a lightness to my chest And the beautiful blue sky With it's fluffy and white clouds Will bring forth my smile And a promise of a new start. *** November 02, 2016

Hi Claudia. : ) "Rain hit the rooftops" - a very nice line, the active voice, great way to begin a poem. "Rain hit" = R and T sounds, then again in "rooftops." Oh yes, I like that. The whole poem is a smooth, pleasurable reminder of the effect that nature can have on us.

I like the comparison of the weather to your mood. It starts rainy and tempesty, and ends light and smiling.... Lovely, Claudia my friend <3
