Afraid

I'm living alone in my shadow Fierce eyes stare at me Their voices haunt me They only notice my mistakes The faded sun ignores me I beg the world for change I received a couple of cents Sometimes I walk in my neighborhood Graffiti is tagged on the church Homeless people are living in gutters I once a saw A rose that grew from concrete But a stiff breeze Swept it away for The sun's radiance to devour Autumn kept the children away While stormclouds took their parents Away to never be seen again Only ambiguity raised a lost generation

This is an absolute gem of a poem.... And it;s so true and painfully honest, and I know firsthand that this is how you describe it. An absolute 7 from me.

The word play is brilliant in this piece, Morgen. Only ambiguity raised a lost generation. Sounds like our Aboriginals.
