Adrift In July
Born in July, I’m a water sign,
so the water lily is an appropriate flower.
Adrift o’er a crystal blue spring, I recline;
white lilies surround me in the midday hour.
Rejuvenation, serenity linked to flower power.
Tiny fish below nibble at my birthstone;
the ruby’s sparkling shine lures them.
Midst the red, white and blue all my cares have flown.
Grinning, I see growing interest in my ring’s gem --
perhaps I’ll float with fish and flowers throughout the p.m.
