A Weight To Bear

Like unkind words once said in anger And heavy on the soul they lay As dead leaves falling to the ground Seemingly forever there to stay. Like the ever fading, rotten leaves The angry words they will not last As they hope to be forgotten and Soon to be relegated to the past. So let not the past be filled with guilt Brought forward like a weight to bear Drop the chain and look toward a future Filled with kind words of love and care.
