A sunny afternoon

One sunny afternoon

I looked out of my window
It was a sunny afternoon
Behind me on the radio
The softness of a jazz tune
Played so sweetly in my ears
A lovely serenade
And then this sight did catch my gaze
And everything did fade

For there, before my spell bound eyes
I saw this wondrous scene
A mauve hibiscus lighted up
So lovely and serene
Did sparkle like a million gems
Among the mauves and greens
Oh what glory, oh what joy
I felt within this scene.

Oh life is sweet, and life is grand
When seen with heart, and eye
So when this image came to me
My eyes began to cry
As all my wonder asked of me
Where does it all come from?
So much beauty in this world
It just goes on and on.

yes, it just takes one small thing to remind us of the beauty in the world and you've described that perfectly in this poem!
