A Soldiers Wife

I am away from my family for sometimes over a year. I put in long hours away from those I hold dear . Yet sometimes I don't sleep and sometimes I don't eat. I sometimes feel like giving in but I refuse defeat. This job attacks your spirit This job attacks your soul. You sometimes think you'll lose yourself But you must remember the goal. I don't wear a uniform I don't go to work everyday But my job is important I help pave the way. You see my job is easy yet difficult to do. Not many can handle it a few select, could you I am on the home front I suspend my life So someone I love, for you can fight I am a soldiers wife.

Congrats on this one. How few people realize what a soldier's wife endures.....anger, despair, feeling cheated, anxiety...all these and more. It doesn't seem fair, I know, yet this is life. Love, Daver
