A Slide Show

I could be holding on to a memory That makes me smile But I know That it’s just to pass the time A slide show in my mind And after I’ve smiled then I close the curtain and turn off the lights Knowing that the memory is good, but you’ll never be a part of my life History has completed its book on our love The next time I see you it’ll be somewhere high above If you’ll be able to fly that high I don’t know if you had the will to repent When you chased lust and every dollar and every cent Nonetheless at the end of the day It’ll work out Since we’ve made it through this drought I wish you well and that’s what it’s all about
