A Single Drop
A single drop,
from a dew laden tree
A single drop falls to earth
from a silver birch
Thus a new birth.
This single drop begins its' search
To find another single drop
to join,to form a pool.
This gathering will never stop
This tiny silver rivulet,
joined by others
Forming a stream,
with its brothers
This stream grows,
shaded by silver birch
This water now flows
tinkling over rock
It continues its' search,
to find others in the flock
This river now flows,
cascading over rocks
heavy with melted winter snow
Billions of single drops,
making new flocks
This river flows in to the sea
Fresh water meeting salinity
Tides governed by the moon
This single drop
Its life will end soon
A single drop carried high
far in to the sky
From the immense blue sea,
caught by billowing cloud
To be delivered to me
A single drop to fall
A single drop I need,
to start this waterfall,
a tiny water seed
A single drop I feel.....
on my cheek
Nature begins to heal
More drops I seek
A single drop to find its way,
more drops ...i pray.
A single drop matters you see........
A life event,
heaven sent,
for you and me
