A Silent Oration

What is oration --? To the speechless
As poet the pallet's still whet,
a quill in hand, her word reaches,
surely the rebel is not dead.
Some thought -- lost was the speechless
tongue,
And must now beseech her pardon ...
The Artist, lent voice through their eyes
As silent oration un-guised
Traveling in painted words for them,
Reaching the core, feeding it;
Her pages spoke in volumes heard,
Another mind opens and turned
The canto is quite atractive,
in comparison's blended prose
Within hearts, as kinships now rose...

    This one almost has the characteristics of a sonnet. It certain reads like one. I like the artistic touch in the lines. Hope you are feeling better. Great job! ~Joseph

    This is lovely. I especially like the part where you say, '...the Artist lent voice through their eyes..." I paint, too. So this has special meaning to me as well. God Bless you. Thank you for your comment on my poetry. Love, Dane

    This is so beautiful. Deeply pensive you must have been when you wrote this. Wonderful poetry. Love, Shar
