A Real Nightmare

A Real Nightmare [ edit ] Out of the darkness a strange noise pierced the night Looking frantically around me, preparing for flight When above me a shadow, I attempted a scream But no sound could I mutter, tears began to stream I closed my eyes tightly then opened them again Was this really happening or was I going insane? I felt a cold chill as my legs turned to rubber I was so scared all I could do was blubber When I turned to run, there was something looming Whatever this was, it definitely was not human It's eyes were rolled back as it devoured it's victim Blood all over his lips, as he deliberately licked them My legs regained strength and through the woods I did tear Only to awaken in bed from this horrible nightmare! © 17 hours ago Halloween poem!
