A New Day
After a restless night I wake
My tangled covers damp with sweat
Trying my best to remember the dream
Knowing its nothing real, and yet...
The sun's first shine is on the wall
And the smell of coffee finds me
Slowly I put my thoughts to rest
The day's possibility now I see ...
The gathered birds are chattering
Announcing a brand new day
A loving voice calls "Good Morning'
With it, the nightmare fades away.....
