A Moments Sadness

The moments sadness long and lasting for you daughter's hand I asked your blessing you made me smile, your heart did beguile you held your loving arms around me. We took our vows with you beside us and there we said our last good-bye, then you slipped away like the sun going down but your warmth remains heavy the silent sound. Father spoke of you this morning, your path in life he was adorning all the love you gave the children that you raised the home that you made sheltered and kept them safe. The moments sadness long and lasting as I linger on your passing I will take her hand hold her when she cries we will build a home and we will share your light.
