A Mans Storm
One man is hurting, he doesn’t belong
He contemplates his life listening to a sad song
He is searching around every corner trying to make sense of it all
The weight of the world has been heavy causing his downfall
Too many thoughts, with a torn heart
He too wants love but with himself he can’t start
The rain, it rains and it eases his pain
In his mind there is a thunderstorm
When it rains that’s when his belonging forms
He feels as if everyone is just like him with each drop
Then again he is alone when the rain stops.
One man is hurt but he hides it well
A simple story so hard to tell
He loves love and the human touch
But his scars run deep sometimes it is too much
His image is expected to have everything together
His heart it aches from all the trial and error
No one to turn to no arms to run in
The rain, it simply satisfies this man
His disconnect forms an understanding
That he is better off alone and doesn’t need another being
When it rains, it rains and finally he is alone
He can walk outside and pace in the zone
No one is watching, he can be free
The man is hurt it is easy to see.
