A Man Named Addiction
A man is locked inside of me, forever inside of my spine.
Ashes of his memory, creep into my mind.
Forgotten until the day i die, when it fades into the mist.
A tiny taste of suicide, a blade into the wrist.
The barriers of consciousness, are lost within a day.
A liquidated chemical, to wash it all away.
Inhale a piece of mother earth, a chapter from before.
Then find the meaning of your life, through patterns on the floor.
A bottle full of nothingness, packaged with a seal.
And little pills of lightning, crashing what you feel.
The sunrise of our future days, have kept us from the past.
In the present there's a silent storm, that always has to last.
To find the light within ourselves, we have to feel the rain.
We have to fill the empty shell, we have to heal the pain.
To walk again with open eyes, there's something to be seen,
you either choose to live or die, there's nothing in between.
He kills you if he gets the chance, this isn't just a game,
A man is locked inside of me, Addiction is his name.
