A Long Goodbye
I put a red silk sheet over me
Pretending that I’m dead
Trying to forget all the words you ever said
As pain slowly fills my body
I think of all the good times we had
But they all just made me mad
Quickly erasing them from my mind
Your picture comes into my head
And I can’t help but start to cry
As my tears roll down my face
Onto my bed
I dream of someone giving me a piece of paper
Saying (Death)
Not thinking I quickly sign it
Then I felt something grind into my wrist
I make a fist to make it bleed more
After that I remember feeling sore
As I wake up sweating
I look down at my bloody arm
I remember your charm
And as I say a long goodbye to the world
I say
I love you
I hope you understand that this is what I have to do
To make this love true
