A First Mother's Day
Today is your first day of many more to come.
A day that will start with cuddles and fun.
As each year goes by and your child grows
You’ll get kisses and gifts wrapped in pretty bows.
You’ll get cards and trinkets of all kind
and flowers that may be hard to find.
You may even get a breakfast in bed
Or maybe a pretty sweater in red.
A special day that is all for you,
You might even put your feet up with nothing to do.
A picnic with your family, a day at the beach
All of these moments are within reach.
What ever it is that you do on this day
I hope it is special in so many ways
So special you are to your father and I
And cherish this day, they just fly by.
Happy Mother’s Day
