A Final Kiss
I lived my life inside my head
Closed off from every season
When death came calling my brother home
My world suddenly had no reason
I had chased fortune and prestige
Always filling up my coffers
Now devoid of any emotion
I had nothing I could offer
And when we buried him that day
I thought only of myself
Whispered, “I love you, I should have always said”
Then gave him a final kiss
