A Darkened Night
A darkened night with cool crisp air wafting about,
wind so strong it throws all in its way off route.
Relentless rain pours down so hard and fast,
one may wonder how long it will last.
Waves continue to crash and bang without any sign of rest,
our strength and will it begins to test.
Our sense of security is much like that of a boat,
on an angry ocean where we barely stay afloat.
The ocean and waves are like our burdens and pain,
battered and beaten we strive so hard to maintain.
So many times we get lost and don't know what to do,
thus we must count on the savior to bring us through.
When our troubles resemble that of a relentless storm,
may we turn to Jesus for which our life he will transform.
For when the trials of life cause us to lose our sight,
always know that the savior will bring us through the darkened night.
