Yes, I see you felt pity for the crane also...cool. Ohioians must think alike!! Since you have been to Old Man's Cave AND you liked the tanka, that means a lot. Appreciate your tho'ts as it was a difficult write. Secondly, YES, I ride my bike to the sacred Fort Ancient Indian mounds many times a year...it is a sight to behold!!! The museum there is very interesting. Bless U! Gwendolen

What a compelling picture you paint in this entry for the contest. Indeed, seeing the black crane is a reminder of the Gulf Oil Spill. We need to focus more effort on alternative energy sources. Oil prices are skyrocketing and we are at the mercy of enemy nations that have abundant sources. But the oil is a finite resource. It will not last forever. Brilliant writing! Hope to see you in the sponsor's top three! Love, Carolyn

Hi Joseph! Poor crane, symbol or no, it pains those who would see this. Tragic was the oil spill, worsened by darting the arrows of blame. Makes me sad, Joseph. Best to you and yours, Mikki
