A Bumbling Writer's Valentine

My silly heart pumps out these paragraphs
As hasty words stream rashly through my veins.
They reach my shaking hands in seconds flat,
My pen - my arrow - ready to take aim.

I write them down because I'm terrified
To say these clumsy words of mine to you.
My pen is poised - Please let me clarify
Just what it is these feelings put me through.

My heart is bleeding as my pen bleeds ink
(Across this page - So sorry for the smudge.
I can't imagine just what you must think.
I really hope your pretty mind won't judge.)
Please let me ask you this before you laugh
(Until you answer me, I'll be a wreck):
My life is nothing but a mere rough draft -
So, please, my dear, would you be my Spell Check?

I don't know how hard you have to work in the creation of all of these wonderful poems but it comes across as if it is effortless for you and that you were made to inspire others this way. Thanks for your very kind words too, they really mean a great deal to a novice like me.

The most creative, trembling, and full of heart valentine poem I have ever read. Perfectly fit together. Absolutely wonderful.

rereading this one. It's such an original and clever way to do a valentine theme poem. I sincerely think I won't find any poems of yours I have not yet read and I am way behind on comments, so I won't take time to search. If you can think of one I never saw, will you let me know? thanks for your comment today. Luv, Andrea

this is so sweet, I really like it. And now I am wondering. are we supposed to be doing the valentine to mystic rose herself?? I am noticing a few other poems seemed to be directed at Rose and not like a love poem for their hubbie or something like that. I better go read her rules again because I did not get that the first time I looked!
