A Brief Note
Hidden amid fruit and honey, a brief note
to love you whilst we are apart, dearest heart,
I want you more than ever, each breath closer
to working day's end.
After labour I can be whole, me again
touched by your smile, drowning, lost in your eyes gaze,
drifting on waves of pleasure, softly fulfilled
by your love once more.
Did you intend to take my whole entity?
Ev'ry breath of air inhaled, exhaled for you,
each rhythmic heartbeat pulsates in loving hands
Sapphically, Yours.
