A Body of Work
Her smile reveals the dimples in her chin
As she sees a monarch flutter by
To passing clouds she waves her arms
Enchanted by the summer's charms
To a treetop melody she moves her feet
As bird songs sweetly repeat
She bends her knees to pick a flower
its fragrance oh so sweet
A summer breeze caresses her cheek
And gently sways the palms
She feels a bliss no words can speak
Within her there's a calm
She listens carefully, with head bowed
To the whisper of a passing cloud
