Faraway

How often, sullen memories reel from faraway climb, down to heart’s raw drop because these buried thoughts do bring to life again vignettes of young adult's fire - --brushing lip to lip. And neither of us dared follow our vow’s pledge.. you shrank away from the taste of life's whims, and I from the fear of the deep passion inside. for those memories have lashed me like a whip. The indelible kisses of the past, pressed on the pages of revelry's rhymes, like the veinless leaves of autumn's parole, granted in the place of winter's long blast have allowed us to fearlessly roam-- assaulting a love that need not go wrong. You pulled me in from start to finish. So bittersweet and just pensive for a young love to fade. I can feel that "nail upon a bosom"; that's phenomenal!Glad to be part of your latest contest. Many thanks, Nette
